LI Ching ou Baby Queen

LI Ching (b. 8 Nov 1948, d. 22 Feb 2018), née sous le nom de Li Guo-Ying, à Shanghai, elle grandi à Hong Kong et rejoint à l'âge de 15 ans la classe d'acteur de Shaw Brothers. Dans un rôle mineur que Li a joué "Inside the Forbidden City", sa performance a attiré l'attention des cadres de Shaw. À l'âge de 17 ans, elle a remporté le prix de la meilleure actrice au 12e Festival du film asiatique pour son rôle marquant dans "The Mermaid", ce qui lui a valu le surnom de "Baby Queen" de Shaw Brothers. Li a gagné le public en faisant preuve d'une grande polyvalence avec des apparitions dans l'adolescente primée "Susanna" et une série d'épopées d'arts martiaux "wu xia" dirigées par Chang Cheh. Li Ching a annoncé sa retraite en 1983.
